Veer producer files defamation case against Salman Khan
Legal troubles seems to see no end this year for the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star Salman Khan. Just within a month of Salman’ s hit and run case verdict , he is now facing a defamation case of Rs 250 crore filed by his 2010 film Veer’s producer Vijay Galani.
Vijay Galani has accused the actor of misconduct in professional behavior, mental harassment , agony and loss of reputation.
The main reason behind the altercation is regarding the agreement letter of the film ‘Veer, ‘ in which Salman wanted to make certain changes.
The producer had paid the actor 10 crore signing amount for the film, and there was a contract letter made , where it was written that the actor will be paid an added amount of Rs 15 crore if the movie made it a hit and earned more profit than expected. But unfortunately, Veer was a flop after which Galani received two letters from Salman which read that the actor was finding the 15 crore agreement unacceptable.
On receiving the letter from Salman, producer Galani refused to make changes in the agreement , and approached CINTAA(Cine And TV Artistes Association) and the association ruled out in the producer’s favor, which made displeased Salman approach the Federation of Western India Cine Association (FWICE), which issued a baseless and invalid non-cooperation letter against Galani. Vijay Galani later approached the Producer’s guild which was of no help as they dismissed the motion.
Thus, Galani has filed a defamation case of 250 crore mentioning about his tarnished reputations due to Salman and the harassment and mental agony he has faced over this 3 years of loss in the industry.
