Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary (SBS) is an asylum for relocating fowls and a home for few of the occupant winged animal varieties. Give or take 250 assortments of fledgling species were observed to be recorded at this haven, including 100 mixtures of transient flying creature species.

SBS is a radiant stopover for the birds coming from removed districts like Siberia, Europe and Afghanistan. The greater part of the transitory fowl species land at Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary to pass the winter season in a happy nourishing environment.

This Sanctuary got its name due its vicinity in Sultanpur Town. SBS was proclaimed as a National Park in the year 1991. Winter is the best season for birding and birdwatchers to visit this Sanctuary in Sultanpur.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is situated in the Sultanpur town of Gurgaon District on the Gurgaon-Farukh Nagar Road.

It is 15 km far from Gurgaon and 50 km far from Delhi. Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is situated in a spot encountering a commonplace North Indian atmosphere of cruel summers (every day temperature coming to up to 46 Degree C) and chilly winters (day by day temperature coming to low up to 0 Degree C),with a short compass of Rainy season, from July to end of August.

Bird species like siberian cranes, greater flamingo, ruff, black winged stilt, common teal, common greenshank, northern pintail, yellow wagtail, white wagtail, northern shoveler, rosy pelican, gadwall, wood sandpiper, spotted sandpiper, eurasian widgeon, black tailed godwit, spotted redshank, starling, blue throat and long charged pipit and so on can be spotted at Sultanpur Birds Sanctuary amid winter season.
