Sachin Tendulkar – Bharat Ratna Adward Winner
Born on the 24th of April in the year 1973, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is a renowned cricketer of the country, who has managed to garner accolades worldwide for his tremendous innings in the sport of cricket. He made a record for himself by being the first sportsperson ever to win the highest civilian honor in India, and also by being the youngest individual till date to achieve this honor.
Extremely mischievous as a kid, he was enrolled in a cricket academy just with the motive that his engagement with a sport would reduce his bully acts and prankster instincts. His association with the sport marked the beginning of a tremendous journey that would later change the face of Indian cricket.
Over the years he garnered acclaim for his impeccable journey in cricket, be it in one day matches or test cricket, where he has made a record for himself by being the only player who has scored a hundred centuries in one day international cricket, completing more than 30,000 runs.
He was honored with the Padma Shri and the Padma Vibhushan Award in the late 20th century, for his excellence in sports, and the Indian government awarded him the Bharat Ratna in the year 2013.
