Kritika Kamra honored with ‘Excellence in Film & TV Industry’ Award
Kritika Kamra became a household name when she starred as the vivacious ‘Aarohi‘ in Ekta Kapoor’s Kitani Mohabbat hai, opposite her then boyfriend Karan Kundra. She later went on to do a number of other hit shows like Kuch toh log kahenge and Reporters on television that cemented her popularity among the masses. Recently she made a successful progression from television to films by making her Bollywood debut with Mitron where she starred opposite Jacky Bhagnani. For the same, she has been felicitated with the ‘Excellence in Film & TV Industry‘ Award by the India News Women Achievers’ Conclave held in New Delhi.
The event was organized by the iTV network and Kritika was invited as the Guest of Honor, to share about her own personal journey to success in the industry and also felicitate a list of other women achievers for their excellence in various fields. Kritika’s story is inspiring to many women who aspire to do various things battling the social norms and stigma. She has become a role model for many young women with aspirations to achieve greater heights.
The conclave had a plethora of renowned personalities hailing from different segments like politics, fashion, entertainment, as well as activists and bureaucrats.
Kritika says, “I feel really honoured to be here. So far, the appreciation and encouragement that I’ve got have been for my work on T.V. But this is for my first film. With the lines blurring and content being king, I hope to work on different mediums. I’m really excited about my future roles.”
