“Katti Batti” actor Imran Khan, who is busy these days promoting his film which will hit the theaters very soon, revealed that he did not like the script in the beginning as he was unable to “get a hold of it”.
Imran confessed that he has troubled director Nikhil Advani a lot. “When I first read the script, I did not get a hold of it. I called Nikhil straightaway and said I did not like it”, he said.
According to the actor, Nikhil convinced him to take the role when he disliked the script in the first place.
“Nikhil wanted me to let him narrate the story once more. As I was in a mood of not doing the movie, so I thought what difference would it make if he narrates. So I kept delaying it for one or two months”, Imran added.
Once the director started describing the script from a completely different point of view, Imran started visualising the characters and the “moments of the story”.
“After so many ifs and buts and delaying, when Nikhil came to narrate the story, within 20 minutes I wondered if this is the same story I read before. I started visualising the characters and the moments of the story. I’ve been in this situation. It’s like repeating my personal life”, Imran said.
Imran also apologised to Nikhil at the end of the narration for not getting the point of the story in the first place.
