Entrepreneur Story of Prashant Chaudhary and Mayank Agarwal – Mr. Right
Prashant Chaudhary and Mayank Agarwal are the founders of Mr. Right, which is an online home services platform, offering household services to its customers. The Mr. Right website and mobile apps are fundamentally used by customers in need of home services in its geographical perimeter. It was founded in the year 2013 and its headquarters are located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Prashant and Mayank began this company with the concept of providing customers with a list of services that are hard to find, such as, carpentry, plumbing, pest control, cleaning, etc. through its websites as well as mobile applications.
Prashant attained his Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering from the Purdue University and graduated from there in the year 2007 and before co-founding Mr. Right, he also co-founded a digital firm named Kaaryaa Labs in 2012. Mayank attained his Bachelor’s degree in Science, from the Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and graduated in the year 2005. Before starting his venture of Mr. Right, he worked for 5+ years as a marketing director for Ozone Builders.
When Mr. Right’s website was launched in 2013, it had only six categories of services, and in two years by 2015, it transitioned into having 15 categories of its service portfolio. Currently, its competitors functioning along the same lines are firms like UrbanClap, Housejoy, and Zimmber. The company released its Android and iOS apps for Playstore and App Store, respectively, on the 12th of March, 2015.
Beginning from the NCR region of India, by the year 2015, Mr. Right began to serve in more areas, expanding to cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, as well as Pune. In April, 2016, it was announced that Mr. Right would soon begin its operations in Hyderabad. As on today, the company has its operations in a total of 15 cities in India, including cities like Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ghaziabad, as well as Gurgaon.
Google has also partnered with Mr. Right to extend its services in more cities in India.
